TXT has made technological research one of its strategic choices, resolving to place highly strong commitment on technological excellence.
The TXT approach to research consists in identifying new technologies and performing critical evaluations in the light of market trends and customer requirements, and in succeeding in transforming a pilot application into a market product. The emphasis is not on the technology as such, but on the applications enabled by that technology. It is important to include enabled applications, not only enabling technologies.
The steps used in research development are as follows:- understanding the technologies and their enabling potential, via close contact with universities and research centers
- construction of prototypes and pilot applications, in collaboration with companies, research partners and future users of the applications that may come of such research
- transformation of the pilot application into a project, via engineering and packaging
To implement research projects, TXT makes use of national and international research programs, and in particular EU-financed projects.
