This project aims at providing Mediaset new media department with an integrated software system implementing efficient workflows for the seamless repurposing of video contents in new media channels such as websites, web portals and possibly, mobile portals. The solution supports live rebroadcasting of TV programs and video on-demand (VOD) content supported by different business models, including advertising-based, free and pay models. Interfaced with Mediaset’s Digital Videoproject - the advanced, innovative system enabling the recording of DVB MPEG2 Multi-Program Transport Streams in their originally broadcasted video quality - this solution allows Mediaset’s new media department to easily and quickly launch advanced new video services on their websites: this properly addresses the audience fragmentation that broadcasters are currently experiencing.
