TXT Group subsidiary PACE has been awarded two HORIZON 2020 grants by the European Commission

MILAN/BERLIN, 2 October 2017 – TXT Group’s German subsidiary PACE will receive funding for two projects under HORIZON 2020, the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation.The projects address different aspects of the aircraft value chain and rely on TXT Group's long-standing expertise in Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing:

  • The ICARUS project aims at contributing towards a solution for fully leveraging the benefits of Big Data for the aviation industry, which will bring together a wide range of sectors including aerospace, tourism, health, security, transport, retail and weather as well as the public sector.
  • The FASTEN project seeks to develop a framework for building a fully connected additive manufacturing system for highly customized products, which uses sophisticated software technologies for self-learning, self-opimization and advance control.

Both projects are being carried out in international consortia of leading industry and research organizations.
