TXT Group and Politecnico di Torino Launch ISM4Italy:
A New Innovation Hub for the Aerospace Sector
TXT Group and Politecnico di Torino are launching ISM4Italy, a €4 million project aimed at creating a new technological infrastructure dedicated to innovation in the aerospace sector. Co-funded through Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Mission 4, the initiative will establish a multifunctional experimental center split between Milan (TXT headquarters) and Turin (near Politecnico di Torino), scheduled to become operational in 2026.
The infrastructure will host three advanced laboratories:

XR Lab, focused on the use of extended reality, particularly for training aircraft maintenance personnel.

SimLab, dedicated to developing new flight simulation solutions, MSaaS systems, AI-driven distributed simulations, and advanced pilot HMI interfaces.

DroneLab, centered on autonomous flight, mission systems, ground stations, and cooperation between drone swarms.
The partners highlight that the project will foster technology transfer between academia and industry, strengthening the Italian aerospace ecosystem. ISM4Italy also integrates with initiatives of the National Center for Sustainable Mobility (MOST), where TXT is already active, contributing to increased competitiveness of the sector at both national and European levels.
